I find the majority of it to be ostentatious and tacky. I'm sure there are some decent independent American flicks, I just can't find them. :-P The recent cowboy film thing has been pretty cool though, No Country for Old Men was good, as was The Three Burials of *mexican name here* (I'm sorry, I cant for the life of me remember his name, haha. It was that Tommy Lee Jones movie!)

We seem to have similar interests, may I ask what it is you "hate" about American cinema?
Hahaha yeah no doubt. I love digging tunnels through those big piles of snow the snowplows leave. And snowmen. and snowball fights. basically all elementary school snow activities are AWESOME, haha. It doesn't get super cold where I live since we're so close to the lake. it'll drop down to -20C before windchill (with windchill it's can be like -35C haha)
thats not too bad, i think that the coldest it got here this winter was like -53F with the winchill, it was so nice to stay inside and relax by the fire,
i was sad though, i live right by the place where the snowplows are housed so its pretty much impossible for the roads to be shut down, but i did turn one of the giant(like 15ft tall!) snow mountains into a huge snowman/demon that had a little kids jacket arm and mitten in its mouth, i used some paint and water for the blood, it was hilarious!!!
