Featuring Johnny Depp (Edward Scissorhands, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street), Christina Ricci (The Adams Family, Casper, The Gathering), Miranda Richardson (Snow White, Blackadder), Christopher Walken (The Deer Hunter).

The Plot: Ichabod Crane is sent to Sleepy Hollow to investigate the decapitations of 3 people with the culprit being the legendary apparition, the Headless Horseman.

Although not exactly a horror movie, but I loved it.

I remember this one Petal-I was very disappointed by it It might be pushing things a bit to say that it was intended as a 'Horror Story' as such, but there was all the hype at the time about how they'd supposedly stayed fast and true to the original legend.Pff,yeah, right

Johhny Depp, bless him,was as wonderful as ever. His usual eccentric self (methinks the man is really another graduate from the infamous Micheal Caine School Of Acting  Not that, with a personality such as Depp's,that's meant as a complaint).

But the film itself...the rest of the casting just fell flat on it's face, leaving Depp's role looking too severly overplayed and hammed up.Ok,that's what he does, but you need the strength of acting character in those surrounding him to balance his extrovert style or most films just don't work.

They kept reasonably close to the original legend I guess...but it just seemed to lack the general 'chill' factor and overall punch of the story I heard so many times as a child
