Yes,I know,me again already,but if you're going to have a movies board I'm going to pop up a lot

This is an excellent vampire film 

It's a fairly basic plot-there's a group of sexy female vampires(who run an online dating agency so that they can pick and choose their male victims while they search for a female candidate to be their newest member) and a small band of vampire hunters(led by one of the VanHelsing family)who are searching for them.

The acting's not bad-not Oscar quality but believable enough,not plastic and not too much hamming it up.

Visually,it's outstanding This isn't a blood,guts and gore film,the visual appeal is a lot more subtle than is generally found in that genre.It's in the careful use of colour-or lack of.Clear traditional visual symbolism such as opposing blond to brunette,black to white,the holier-than-thou,repressed,elderly male to the sensual,erotic,in-her-prime female.Lots of clever placement of red wine and subtle emphasis on particular characters drinking it.And some deceptively simple but really quite effective dream sequences.

Probably more one for the ladies,but well worth checking out

Likewise Pinky I can easily forgive a truely atrocious plot and complete lack of acting ability if a film compensates with a well constructed and themed set and wardrobe

The sound track's not at all bad on this one either The band used is 'The Duke Spirit',I've a few of their tracks on my profile music player at the moment.They're more 'easygoing dark rock' than anything,though sometimes you find them listed as 'country'...makes me wonder a bit...
