here's a few more parts to the story this time without a link ^_
"Alex! What are you doing?" said one of them in a thunderous voice.
"Aww come on guys I was just having some fun."
"Alex you can't make another girl one of us. You know hat happened to the last four." said another one in a much nicer tone.
"Yeah I know but this one just sounded so much like us."
"Oh did she now? You don't want her to go through the same pain we do." the third voice said.
"Well I thought that..."
The first voice cut him off, "Oh you just thought, I don't believe that you never think."
"Come on let's get out of here before she sees us." the third voice said.
"She didn't see you did she?" the second voice asked.
"Well yeah she did, I was here in the light guys."
"Alex! You moron!" the first voice bellowed.
"Now what do we do?" the second voice asked.
"I guess we have no choice. We have to take her." the third voice said.
"Wait a minute what do you mean take me? Take me where?"
"Well that's what you wanted, right?"
"Yes, but I never thought it would actually happen."
"Well you didn't count on Alex here."
"What are you guys anyway?"
"She doesn't watch the news guys."
"Aww she doesn't thats too bad."
"Yeah, yeah celebrities I get it."
"Well were not really celebrities, it's just what we have to do."
"You have to be on the news? What are you addicted to the media?"
"No. Were vampires."
"Well actually, he's a vampire. I am a reverse vampire."
"And the other two?"
"I am a werewolf. He's a warlock."
"Okay this is too much, I am going home."
"But you didn't want to go there."
"Well I changed my mind."
"No you didn't, I can read your mind remember."
"Okay that's true but,..."
Then I was cut off by the werewolf, "Come on stop messing around guys either she comes or we let her go."
"Meeting."
They all gathered around each other and had a discussion. This would be my opportunity to leave, but I just felt better having someone to talk to who listens. Having these "people" around who might actually care about me. But that could be just a pipe dream. Their discussion ended and Alex said, "Do you want to come with us?"
"Yes, but I want to grab some of my clothes."
"Okay met us here at midnight tomorrow."
They flew away. I ran home.
I went through my neighbor's fence and hopped over to the backyard and back through the window. In my room I looked around for one last time. This would be the last time I slept here. I just kept thinking though. Reverse vampire? Warlock? Werewolf? Vampire? I never believed it was real, but there they were staring me in the face and arguing with each other. Alex said I seemed like them. What did that mean? I sound like them. The last night here my parents didn't even notice I was gone. I didn't get yelled at I just heard nothing. I fell asleep.
I woke up to the sound of them arguing again. This time over what television show to watch. They have three other televisions in this house. Why are they arguing over this one? I picked up the biggest bag I had. All I wanted to take were my clothes. They said to meet there at midnight. I'm going after I pack, Alex might be there. Through on some different clothes my favorite pair of pants, gray with a skull over the knee, and just a random black band tee.
Through some more band tees and jeans, and some dresses even, some shoes, and of course some underwear. Got my wallet in my pocket and left the bag in my room. It wasn't even noon yet, it was only 10 am. I decided to go get one last look that their faces. I took a deep breath and walked out into the filth. There were piles of stuff everywhere, ash trays full of ashes and cigarette butts. The air reeked of nicotine and alcohol it made me sick. But I still wanted one last look. I looked at them sitting there staring at the screen, my dad looked up at me and said, "What are you looking at?"
"I just wanted,...nothing."
I turned and walked away, back to my room. I opened the window, sunlight came pouring in. It was bright out, brutally bright. Alex might not be there yet, it might be too bright.
Yeah I have seen vampire movies, Dracula and Van Helsing. But I have never heard of a reverse vampire. I guess it means they are vampires but they can be in the sunlight, but this was bright. I took the bag and through it out the window. I followed it and jumped over the fence. I saw the old man watching me through the window. I ignored him and walked through my spot in his fence.
By now it was only noon and I was hungry. I stopped at a local food place I had a few bucks left from my dog walking business I started years ago. Before the town went to hell. I made a lot but had no where to spend it, thank god. I only used it when I was desperately hungry. This was one of those times. I sat at the counter and got a cheese burger with a chocolate shake. In between bites I heard the mayor talking to one of the foreman from the construction sites. They were saying something about tearing up more of the town to make way for more better and newer houses and shopping malls. Then I remembered the old man. Where was he going to live? Was he going to tell my parents that he saw me leave? Would they even care? I wonder if Alex is there in the hot sun waiting for me to show? Is it killing him waiting for me? I was starving. I just ate the whole burger and was finishing the shake with out even thinking about it. Just like the mayor wasn't even thinking about what he was doing to the town and my parents to me.
I mean I know they lost their jobs when the factory closed but buying loads of alcohol and cigarettes doesn't make up for it. Why did the people of this town elect that fat ass moron anyways?
I left a tip and paid for my food. I headed to the new sub division when I saw him.
