Roommate Must Die!!
Posted On 06/03/2008 11:37:54 by Dragonsblood_Venus

This first full-length blog is a juicy one. Read on:

Things were already a tad stressful at our old house when my boyfriend, our mutual friend, and I decided that we'd had enough. Our roommate had begun to show her true Nazi colours, attempting to take control of the entire household by establishing rules that no-one else agreed upon, inviting her delinquent love interest to live with us before consulting anyone else, allowing her friends to do whatever they wished while bitching at us for the same things, etc.

Then, our personal things began to go missing. Random people began to show up at the house with no warning. Our roommate's 'boyfriend' (in quotes because he had admitted numerous times to having no interest in her, but she could not be convinced of this) was arrested from our house on charges of menacing.  It was time to leave.

Because the house belongs to the roommate's father, we had very little ground to stand on. Lies were told about us, accusations flew like Boeing jets, and we had no real choice but to get out. So, with our furniture and boxes split between different people's garages and our pets being looked after by some very kind friends, we are currently searching for new living quarters. There is a duplex that has caught our eye and seems to be our best shot. We've filled out the rental application and, if all goes well, we will be in our new, much happier home by the end of the week.

Keep in mind that the above is simply the bare-bones version; there is much more drama to the story (including an incident in which some of our roommate's friends drove by the house while we were removing our possessions one night and shot me in the thigh - I'm not kidding), but it is far too stressful to relay every detail at the moment.

Things are finally shaping up to a more pleasant ending. I can only hope that it continues.

Thank you so much.

It doesn't look like the place we originally looked at will work out, but there are two other places that are good possibilities. Either way, we'll find something.
