"A human being is a part of the whole called by us "Universe," a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest- a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty". --Albert Einstein

MY RATING: 10.00

Reptiles. (I Have six snakes, two monitor lizards, a turtle and a tortoise.) I live, breathe and sleep them. It is my major in college. As an artist, I draw them. As a rescuer and enthusiast, I keep them. As an educator, I write and speak about them. They take up nine-tenths of my waking hours. However, they are not my only love. I love all animals, and do my best to rescue them as well, though my rescue is primarily a reptile rescue. I love nature and try to do my part to protect our enviroment. I'm also a vocalist, because I love music and love to sing. And, I'm a martial artist and have an extensive sword and weaponry collection.

(Recently started making them, lol. Gets the message across better than paper does X3)
I watch a lot of anime, as well as old movies. My favs are Grave of the Fireflies, Invader Zim, What Dreams May Come, and lots of old horror. Too many others to list, heh heh.

Morbid Angel, Coheed & Cambria, Behemoth, Six Feet Under, Strapping Young Lad, Beethoven, Def Leppard, Vehemence, Type O Negative, Echoes of Eternity, John Denver, Johnny Cash, Saliva, Breaking Benjamin, Lacuna Coil, Shadows Fall, Slayer, Killswitch Engage (the old stuff), Dark Tranquillity, Death, Evanessence, Louis Armstrong, Bach (all of them, lmao), Journey, Boston, Lynnard Skynnard and most other southern rock, Anime soundtracks, Yoko Kanno, TM Revolution, Agatsuma, and waaay too many more to list.

I read a lot of manga and manwha, so much that some of my friends call me "Mangaka" Or manga expert. I also read a lot of horror, like Steven King and Dean Koonts, lots of fantasy, especially Mercedes Lakey's work, poetry, Poe, Shakespeare, Whitman, and I could go on and on, though most of my reading is about reptiles. I do a lot of research about them so I can educate others and also so I'll know what to expect when I'm out in the field doing a rescue. Knowladge is power and it's saved my life a couple times.

cold alone and rejected, Fetish Fashion, Dragon's Sanctuary

A quick wit, an intelligent and open mind and no fear of the unknown. I'm a reptile rescuer, and as such I must posess all three, especially when dealing with unhappy venomous reptiles. Mind you, I respect them deeply, but fear will only bring disaster. "If you talk with the animals, they will talk with you and you will know each other. If you do not talk with them, you will not know them, and what you do not know you will fear. What one fears, one destroys." --Chief Dan George.

Pompous, over-opinionated know-it-all's Who would rather spew their beliefs then actually take the time to go and find out why everyone doesn't think the way they do. Also can't stand men who are threatened by stong, intelligent or beautiful women. I hate machismo, I hate opression, I hate ignorance, intolerance, stupidity, needless/mindless aggression...my nemesis at this moment is the co-ordnators of the rattlesnake roundups, and those that participate in them. To me, this behavior exibits all the above negative traits, and such a barbaric cruelity is involved that unless you are in one of these circles, either for it or opposed to it (I pray opposed) then you cannot even imagine. Help me in obliterating these public displays of cruelity, for our ecosystem's sake if for nothing else.

How I made my profile:
I used MyWackoSpace.com's amazing MySpace Editor.

I'm a reptile loving, manga-reading, martial-aritst metalhead who lives in seclusion in the mountains and writes graphic novels and plays D&D for fun. I am the nerd from hell, play Xbox, Moderate three role-play communities, draw dragons and rescue serpents. My life is strange compared to most, but it is rewarding and I wouldn't trade it for anything. So may I say, Ave & Hail, Blessed Be, Nameste, and thanks for visiting my little corner of the web.

Thank you :) That's a couple of years old now, taken at the end of her recovery.
She was in a terrible state when I got her-she'd lost half her tail after an attack by a young monitor lizard she'd been tanked with(they'd not been fed in who knows how long)and the stump was gangranous(sp?dyslexic, sorry). She was so thin you could count nearly all her ribs by eye,and half the length she should have been for her age :(
The vet I took her to managed a good job on her tail-it looks basicly normal shaped and unscarred, just shorter than usual. And she's a fine length now-hit the 7 foot mark on her last measuring just under a month ago :D

Thank you for accepting :D I understand how strange life can be when you have a habit of aquiring odd animals under trying or unusual circumstances;)Thankfully the 'rattlesnake roundups' are not something we have to contend with here in the UK-all our reptile species have been protected for some years now, including our few snakes:)
